The text of this document, the original of which is dated from 1429, is as follows:
"Nicolas Rommée, called 'de Vouthon', professed monk in the Abbey of Cheminon, Cistercian Order, diocese of Châlons, received a dispensation from his Abbot at the request of the Maiden and by order of the King, in order to follow the aforesaid Maiden in the army to serve her as chaplain and almoner, as he is her first-cousin."
