Footnote 520
Quote from a letter written by Beauvau, Moreal, and Lussé on the day of the coronation, addressed to the Queen (Marie d'Anjou) and her mother: "And at the moment when the King was anointed, and also when they placed the crown upon his head, every man shouted 'Noël!' and trumpets sounded in such a manner that it seemed the vaults of the church would split apart. And during this ceremony, the Maiden always remained beside the King, holding her banner in her hand. And it was a wonderful thing to see the noble manner of the King and also the Maiden. And God knows how you were missed there." (For the original language, see Quicherat's "Procès...", Vol V, p. 129).
